It’s often as dark and displeasingly cold as the roughest night of December, but sometimes it’s laid back and loose just like a teenager, when he can go playing football with the buddies in the hood. At times it’s good to emphasize contrasts, because they are expressive and I came across these feelings while listening to Mystake’s debut disc. Downtempo, chillout and ambient-style tracks appear on the nearly one-hour-long stuff, which is the newness of Black Hoe netlabel in 2011. Mysterious tracks which would lengthen to the infinity here and there, and different hazy visuals come to your mind while listening to them. Or you imagine them as the background music of a film. Of course, not the soundtrack of American Pie 67. You can also find joyfulness - you can relax and relieve. Most of them require the attention, but you don’t have to exert yourself.
The character of Mystake is the creature of the more friendly and slower alter ego hiding in Mystification of Veszprém. I recommend his 12-tracked CD not only to professionals who have an ear for music but also anybody, everybody. Push the play, and enjoy the feeling.
